As I grew up in a world digitizing as I grew older, I noticed society becoming more and more hostile to our personal health and wellbeing. Being born in 2000 I am of the very last generation that consciously remembers a world where internet wasn’t always around and where we still know the peaceful feeling that comes with being fully present.
I don’t think enough people realize the disturbing the short and long term effects of our efficiency driven society are. We need to realize that this world is not designed for our benefit and that we need to care more for ourselves. We can’t change the system but we can change how we personally operate within it.
So therefore I prioritize and center the wellbeing of the human in my work. To give a counter-narrative to this overstimulating world and inspire and encourage people to chance how they handle their own wellbeing. With the help of sound, image and light I create work that touches different senses. Calm, but layered, my work provides room to engage, inspire, wind down and educate. Through experience of the audience making a difference in how my audience relate to their surroundings and to themselves.
